Voici deux Cônes du complexe textile/archiepiscopus achetés à la bourse de l' AFC (Paris 2011) provenant de Madagascar. Ils mesurent respectivement 75 et 72 mm. Je les mets sp. car je ne peux les rattacher à aucune f. connues pas plus qu' a la f. nominale tant ils sont différents!
Here are two Cones of the textile/archiepiscopus complex purchased from the shellshow of the AFC (Paris 2011) from Madagascar. They measure respectively 75 and 72 mm. I put sp. because I can't linked to any f. known nor to the nominal f. as much they are different!
Celui-ci a une belle couleur foncée sur fond rosé, une forme polygonale (trapézoïdale) accentuée, une excroissance sur le canal siphonal et l' intérieur rose.
This one has a nice dark color on pinkish background, a pronounced polygonal shape (trapezoidal), a protuberance on the siphonal canal and the inside is pink.
Cet autre (dessous) a un dessin et une couleur plus typiquement textile mais change de logique à chaque période de croissance. Le dessin de la dernière en date est particulièrement curieux. La forme générale est d' ovale à trapézoïdale (f. archiepiscopus?), l' épaule du dernier tour décalée. La naissance de la lèvre est fuyante et l' espace qui la sépare de la coquille extrêmement étroit. Le canal siphonal a également une excroissance inhabituelle.
This other (below) has a drawing and color typically textile but changes of logical in each period of growth. The design of the latest is particularly curious. The general shape is oval to trapezoidal, the shoulder of the last lap shifted. The birth of the lip is receding but the space that separates it from the shell is extremely narrow. The siphonal canal has also an unusual protuberance.
